Biothin Superfruit: is it a fact or fad?
Biothin is a popular diet supplement marketed and sold by Dr. Mercola on the website of the same name: . But although Biothin is promoted as a high quality dietary supplement that can help you lose excess weight naturally and safely, it is worth the money, or is it simply an over-priced fad?
Dr. Mercola has been around for a few years now. He made his name as a nutritionist and now makes a very good living promoting his own diet supplements and weight loss products via the website, mercola.com. As well as selling diet supplements, Dr. Mercola also spends a great deal of time spreading the word about the dangers of junk food and high fat convenience foods, but does all philanthropy this justify the high cost of Biothin and other mercola products?
When compared to other products of a similar nature, Biothin is much more expensive. Much of the increased cost is probably due to the famous name of Mercola plastered all over the packaging, but can the contents of the bottle justify the cost of the product?
The main ingredient in Biothin is something called Irvingia Gabonensis. Most people will be unfamiliar with this ingredient, but it you look it up on Google, you will soon discover that Irvingia Gabonensis is also known as African Mango, a fairly well known weight loss additive.
African Mango is very popular in weight loss circles as it does the job very effectively, but it is not associated with any real side effects. However, if you do your research, you will also discover that African Mango is not exactly expensive, and therefore there is no real reason why mercola.com can charge for the privilege of including it in Biothin.
None of the other ingredients listed on the Biothin packaging are expensive, either, which rather begs the question of why mercola are charging so much for their product, but since Dr. Mercola is obviously in business to make money, we can only assume that the high cost of Biothin is to help pay the wages and maximise profits.
Can I buy a cheaper product with the same ingredients?
Whilst cheaper is not always necessarily better, in one case it most definitely is: SDF-3 is a cheaper product containing mostly the same ingredients as Biothin, but with one or two differences. SDF-3 features African Mango as one of its main ingredients, but it also has two other very important ingredients to give the user an extra boost of nutritional benefit.
Acai Berry and Sea Buckthorn are well known as superfruits in the world of diet supplements. Packed full of nutritional goodness, Acai Berry and Sea Buckthorn help to provide a host of valuable nutrients in every bottle of SDF-3 diet supplement. And unlike Biothin, SDF-3 does not contain Hoodia, an appetite suppressant that has a risk of side effects when taken in larger doses, so you can use SDF-3 in whatever quantities you see fit without worrying the potential consequences.
Overall, when all things are considered, although Biothin is obviously a good quality product with the benefit of Dr. Mercola’s sterling reputation attached to it, Biothin is rather overpriced for what it claims to be offering buyers.
SDF-3, or the superfruit diet formula, has as much to offer, if not more, and since the product is priced at a much more reasonable level, it makes far more sense for consumers to choose a dietary supplement that is cheaper, has more nutritional value, but still does the job. So if you want to improve your diet, lose weight fast, SDF-3 is probably the better choice from the vast range of health supplements on offer today.
