SeaBuckthorn Berry Oil a new possible weight loss star

On June 2, Dr Oz started a new sensation in the diet and weight loss world when he revealed the results of a recent study showing Mice that were fed a daily dose of SeaBuckthorn oil were half the bodyweight of other mice that did not receive the oil, even though both groups of mice were fed the same diet. This result was quite unexpected, as the scientists were studying several other well known benefits of Seabuckthorn berry oil supplements and didn’t anticipate the weight loss result. The scientists believe the high Omega 7 content of the oil sends a signal to the brain to stop storing any excess calories as fat.

It is not known if similar results will translate to humans, but you can bet it is being tested now. Dr. Oz says that Sea Buckthorn is the new “miracle berry”. The second mouse maintained its weight, and staved off heart disease, diabetes, and other weight related health problems. But it also contains the elusive Omega 7, a rare and vital component for cellular support and healthy skin, hair and nails. Diet, stress and pollution can affect the skin and mucus membranes of the digestive and urogenital tract.

The berry has long been used in Chinese and Tibetan traditional medicine for treating a wide variety of external and internal organ conditions.
